Search and mobile content company Infospace has reported higher Q4 sales and booked a tax benefit that helped the company’s profits more than double.
The company CFO David Rostov also plans to resign in the first half of 2006 to pursue other opportunities.
In Q4, it had a net profit of $37.9 million, compared to a profit of $18.9 million for last year. Revenue for the period was $86.5 million compared to $79.9 million last year. Excluding a tax benefit of $25 million, its profit was $12.9 million.
The company’s search and directory revenue declined 6% to $44.3 million from last year, while mobile revenue increased 30% to $42.3 million. More details in the company earnings release.
