Social networking startups are still getting funding…really. We mentioned Tagged yesterday. Today, a Los Altos, CA-based startup WisdomArk has announced a $6.3 million first funding round, and was led by El Dorado Ventures, Venrock Associates, and Benhamou Global Ventures.
The stated purpose of the site: “helping communities of family and friends collaborate in the capture, sharing, and preservation of life stories”. The company was founded last year by CEO Andy Halliday (ex-COO, In-Q-Tel; VP at Spoke Software) and VP of Engineering Chris Lunt (ex-head of engineering at Friendster).
