There’s some amount of reasoned-spin coming out of mobile gaming publisher Glu, which for all intents and purposes, should be on the block, if it isn’t already. Glu CEO Greg Ballard spoke at the Mobile Games Forum in London and believes that 2006 will see a large number of major media companies vying to acquire the major players in the mobile games business. He said that media companies would grow this area through acquisition, and said that besides U.S. and European media firms, rapidly expanding companies from Korea and Japan will now be competing to acquire one of the small handful of global players in the market.
