VAS Conference, Mumbai: “VAS Needs To Make A Difference In People’s Life”

ContentSutra is the official blog at Infor-Media‘s two-day Value Added Services Conference in Mumbai, which kicked off today. Our reporter Prashant Sethi brings his impressions of the conference:
Day One
After their first conference on mobile gaming in May 2005 in Delhi, this is Infor-Media’s another attempt to bring the mobile content industry together. I wasn’t there at the Delhi conference, but what I have heard is it was a success, which prompted the organisers to come up with another one.
This one in Mumbai stands out, I should say. The participation is pretty impressive, the speakers are authoritative, and most importantly, it’s a very focused conference with anybody who has gathered here has something to do with mobile content, either as a content producer or as an operator or as a technology vendor.
The most interesting part of the conference is, though the speakers have made a very technical presentations with numbers collected from almost everywhere, yet things would make sense even to a layman and in just one session we have heard speakers from top Indian telcos (like Tata Teleservices, Reliance Infocomm, Bharti Tele-Ventures,-
