NFL Mulling Putting Games Online

And it better be thinking on those lines: National Football League is considering putting some of its regular-season games exclusively online, and has been talking to at least one online portal on this. If the deal happens, it would be for the new package of late-season games to be played on Thursday and Saturday nights.

AOL already has a relationship with the NFL, showing footage from NFL Films and presenting the commercials from the Super Bowl online, which last year generated 22 million streams, so chances are NFL might go with them, but no confirmation on it.

I doubt they would do it only-online and not on TV…in all probabilities, it would be an in-market-TV-out-market-broadband, a la MLB, kind of deal.
