NBA Adds Broadband Option For Premium Subs

One of the greatest frustrations for those of us with premium sports packages on cable or satellite is the lack of portability. The NBA is trying a value-add approach that could ease that pain for NBA League Pass subscribers: NBA League Pass Broadband. League Pass subs will have access to live video webcasts of up to 40 NBA regular season games a week on NBA.com, the first time the league will provide a full slate of live NBA games online. The announcement coincides with the half-season $109 offer for League Pass.

It’s the second interesting announcement from the league so far this year; the first was the availability of archived games via the Google Video Store.
