About the Sr. Product Manager, Mobile Media Platform Opportunity

As the Sr. Product Manager, Mobile Media Platform you will own the customer value proposition for the InfoSpace Mobile Media Platform and translate that value proposition into clear positioning and messaging to be used in sales tools and marketing and communication activities. In addition, you will work with internal and external constituents to determine the features for new versions of the InfoSpace Mobile Media Platform. You will partner with the product planners and development teams to finalize features & solutions, play an active role in product and service launches, and develop go-to-market programs and marketing plans.

Your strategic responsibilities will include:

– Leading the product management team for the Mobile Media Platform

– Developing marketing and communications strategy for new the product and service offerings

– Researching trends in the mobile content platforms

– Defining and prioritizing features of each new version of the Mobile Media Platform

– Effectively and persuasively present product and communication strategies internally

– Working with the marketing team in tracking measurable statistics on marketing programs, promotion, event and campaign impacts and working with the Product Planner to incorporate those data into next generation product and marketing plans

– Partner with Carrier Account Team, Product Planning and Business Development to develop new or enhanced revenue streams, new features, products and services

– Work closely with the Sales team to define product and pitch to customers, primarily US based mobile network operators.

– Driving merchandising and programming strategy for service assets

Your tactical responsibilities include:

– Developing and refining value propositions & positioning frameworks

– Owning the Market Requirements Document and process

– Creating and effectively communicating core product messaging, positioning and branding to ensure messaging consistency internally and externally

– Developing the marketing plan including channel, merchandising and promotions plan and interacting with channel partners and internal channel resources to ensure adequate channel support of product launch plans

– Ensuring marketing programs are focused on high-value scenarios and resonant messages.

– Conducting appropriate customer research validating the positioning, messaging and marketing plan with target segments participating in identified scenarios

– Developing practical recommendations to solve customer concerns

– Creating robust sales tools, collateral and training to ensure the sales force is adequately prepared for product deployments in a timely fashion

– Reviewing product specifications to gain intimate knowledge of the product plans;

– Working in conjunction with the Business Development Manager to define and execute programmatic marketing partnerships such as joint marketing agreements as appropriate

– Writing Go-to-Market strategies, B2B and B2C, for new products and services

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including 5 years software product management experience with very strong written and verbal communication skills, proven record of working closely with engineering teams, and high energy and passion for technology products. Candidate should also be a self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion effectively. Such projects will demand strong working relationships and interactions with vendors, customers, senior executives, partners, and other product & marketing groups within InfoSpace. A BA/BS degree is required and an MBA is highly desired.
