About the Advertising/Promotions Manager Position
Infospace is looking for an enthusiastic, creative self-starter that is willing to jump in and get involved with a very exciting company. You will have the opportunity to learn valuable business principles in an extremely rewarding industry. You will be an instrumental team member involved in developing marketing programs that increase awareness, motivate people to download mobile content (i.e. ringtones, wallpaper and games) and generate revenue for our industry leading mobile initiatives. We are looking for applicants with a background and interest in Business Administration, Marketing or Advertising. Experience marketing mobile content, mobile applications, and/or wireless carriers is required. Experience with traditional advertising agencies, promotional agencies and guerilla/viral marketing agencies required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
– Develop and execute advertising and promotional programs that align with the overall marketing plan.
– Build ROI models and track performance of programs against these models. This includes reporting on performance to senior management.
– Strong analytic background to be able to develop these reporting models to measure the success of your programs.
– Generate innovative ideas to promote our products and services to consumers.
– Effectively work with our creative teams to develop powerful communication pieces that are effective at driving customers.
– Create message strategies that effectively position InfoSpace products in the marketplace.
– Effectively align communication efforts with the overall brand message.
– Work closely with product management and market research to align efforts, maximize revenue and deliver a strong and consistent message to our customers.
– Track industry trends and competitive profile information.
Skills & Experience:
– Five + years of successful marketing experience. Three + years traditional/promotional marketing experience strongly preferred.
– Experience working with mobile based products and services.
– Ability to develop strategies, creative briefs, and position products successfully.
– Experience working with advertising agencies strongly preferred.
– Ability to measure performance and deliver ROI positive marketing programs.
– Proven track record of developing marketing programs that drive acquisition of qualified customers.
– Excellent presentation skills, Internet advertising/media sales, marketing and promotion experience.
– Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and budgets while managing multiple sub-projects in a fast-paced environment.
– Ability to track and report on measurable activity directly connected to marketing and promotions.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills under time pressures and working with often complex technical solutions and IP limitations.
– Youth Marketing Experience. Skills in analyzing trends and lifestyles in the Youth Market – a “finger tip” on the pulse of what makes the 13-24 year old demographic tick.
– Active and current knowledge of POP culture, new music, movies, films, sports, games, fashion and fads.
Education & Training
– Bachelor’s degree in business or communications with an emphasis in Marketing or Advertising. Advanced Degree desired.
