Inoventiv, a Canadian online advertising company, has released a version of its in-banner search technology called “Search&Display”, which will enable web users to search, listen and buy ring tunes within an online banner ad. The full transaction takes place within the banner ad, without leaving the page where the ad resides.
Kinda gimmicky, if you ask me, but make more sense as an embedded unit within music-heavy sites, coupled with contextual advertising.
