CBS Debuts 60-Second Shows; Also On Mobile

CBS is getting serious about mobile video, and has announced an experimental set of original shows for mobile phones, or micro-series, featuring episodes that run for less than a minute. The first episode lasts 60 seconds and subsequent episodes will be 40 seconds long.
The show, entitled The Courier, will be broadcast during prime time on the broadcast network following or during hit shows such as Cold Case, Criminal Minds, and CSI: Miami. Following TV screning, it wil online on CBS.com and will be available for streaming on cell phones through Verizon Wireless’ V Cast service.
Each show will feature a commercial for the Pontiac Torrent at the end of each micro-episode.
The micro-series is a separate project from the mini soap operas the network is developing exclusively for cell phones.
