Key Responsibilities:
–
Develop, manage and grow existing and new online marketing channels which contribute to the overall quarterly customer acquisition goals. Channels include online display advertising, paid search, affiliate marketing, email and mobile marketing and co-registration.
– Create and implement innovative and cost-effective marketing campaigns, messaging strategies and membership offers which deliver high quality prospects and customers via online channels.
– Identify negotiate and manage strategic online marketing partnerships, e.g., portals, search, lead generation, media, etc, to drive profitable acquisition and content consumption.
– Compile, interpret, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and/or strategies to achieve maximum scale, efficient CPAs and qualified customers.
– Define new online marketing opportunities and collaborate with IT for implementation and scheduling.
– Establish and maintain highly effective internal relationships with cross-functional counterparts, including corporate communications, content, merchandising/editorial, finance, legal, creative, IT and customer service.
– Development and implementation of channel strategy including offers, creative and outlets.
– Manage cross-functional internal teams as well as a variety of vendors, contractors and agencies to execute quarterly initiatives.
Necessary Skills:
– Proven track record and up-to-the-minute knowledge base on best practices in the affiliate, search and online advertising industries.
– Ability to analyze performance and user behavior data as a means to continually optimize EPC, CPA, CPC and CPM metrics.
– Excellent strategic, creative and online user experience sensibilities.
– Prior professional experience and/or personal passion for the publishing, media and/or digital entertainment categories
– Ability to develop and nurture marketing campaigns that strike the right balance between direct response performance and brand building
– Deep rolodex, strong negotiation skills and experience in managing marketing partnerships and programs; ideal candidate has a background in online media buying and search engine marketing.

Requirements:
– BS in Marketing, Business or related area.
– 7-9 years experience in online customer acquisition marketing focused on eCommerce, content and/or subscription based services.
– Agency or in-house experience.
– Strong organizational and managerial skills; proven ability to handle multiple projects, deliver results and effectively manage and coach others.
– Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand reports and make business recommendations and decisions.
– Deep knowledge and experience with a variety of Ad Serving and Web analytics platforms.
– Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

– Highly motivated, hands-on multi-tasker who requires minimal supervision
