Start-up Spot Runner, which offers small businesses a web-based solution for TV advertising, comes out of beta today. At the same time, the LA-based company closed a $10 million “Series A” round of funding; SiliconBeat reports that the investors are Battery Ventures, Index Ventures and an unidentified third investor. The company’s premise is making TV advertising easier and more affordable for small businesses. Adertisers log in, pick a generic video ad from thousands organized by keyword, industry and even location, and then create a “smart” TV schedule.
