Apparently 1.2 million people in the US watched mobile TV last year with the number expected to increase to 30 million by 2009. The 30 million figure is from IDC, although In-Stat puts the number at 20 million and eMarketer at 15 million users by 2009. I’m not sure who reported the 1.2 million figure for last year (which I was most interested in) but it’s closes to eMarketer in the paragraph.
TV Week also has an analysis of the mobile TV market and comparisons of the current offers, good writing but nothing that hasn’t been said before.
