The much-hyped (Google-buyout target rumor etc) facial recognition startup Riya has received a $15-million second round of venture funding from Bay Partners as well as early investors Leapfrog Ventures, BlueRun Ventures, and Josh Kopelman. Prior to this, Redwood City, CA-based Riya closed a $4-million first round during March 2004.
