The magazine company Hachette Filipacchi Media (publisher of Elle magazine, among others) has created a new post to oversee its Web and electronic operations, and has appointed Marta Wohrle as director of digital media, responsible for the development of 16 sites, four mobile apps, digital editions for all Hachette titles, JVs in new media, VOD and new media acquisitions.
According to Hachette COO Philippe Guelton, the company at least triple its investments in content and promotion online, will be doubling its online staff to about 60 from about 30.
