Televisionpoint.com: DTH scene is hotting up with more players getting in and also when the Tata-Sky joint venture is expected to be launched soon. Now Delhi-based media group Jain Studios is all set to launch its new network of channels under an umbrella brand 360TV. The launch of the first channel under the 360TV brand is planned for May 2006, which will shortly be followed by its second channel.
The others who are getting into DTH is a JSL group company, Noida Software Technology Park Ltd. (NSTPL), which has also received an in-principle approval from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting for license to provide Direct-to-Home (DTH) services in the country. Besides, Tata-Star joint venture, Zee and Sun Network are the other players with clearance to provide DTH services in the country. JSL is expected to start offering its DTH services by end of 2006, a media release says.
