@ CES 2006: Reader-palooza

First, abject apologies to anyone who tried to meet up with sub-optimal results. It started out crazy and I never caught up. On the plus side, our readers were everywhere I turned — literally– from CES Unveiled, where I met Dan Cole, VP-Sales and Biz Dev for CEA, to a host of C-level types to random meets on the floor to scheduled meets and the Biz Dev after-party party at Ceasar’s Shadow Bar, which could have been a paidContent.org/MocoNews.net mixer. (Biggest difference: no sponsor. ) I can’t count the number of times I heard “I read you guys every day,” “I get you on my Blackberry” and, of course, “Is Rafat here?” My favorite: “When do you sleep?” It really helps during weeks like this to know that you aren’t writing into a void.
It also doesn’t hurt to have readers with a spare pass to one of the biggest shows in town; I spent a chunk of Friday evening with Ted and Laura Cohen at the Monster Stevie Wonder private concert & singalong. (1 min, .3 megs) Great to catch up with as many of you as I did. Thanks for everything — and keep the news flowing.
