About.com: Health Strategic Sales Director, NYC

About.com, a top 10 Web property that is part of The New York Times Company, is seeking a Strategic Sales Director, Health for our NYC office. S/he will work with senior management at About and The New York Times Company to cultivate strategic opportunities with clients and partners in the health category to extend About’s revenue opportunities into new and developing areas.

Requirements:

- Sales professional with 8-10 years of progressively responsible roles in online and offline sales, especially health vertical.

- Experience developing effective sales strategies for a high growth potential business and demonstrated ability to deliver results.

- Demonstrated accomplishments and leadership through consultative selling in developing new business and expansion within key verticals.

- Strong strategic and tactical sales skills, as well as technical skills to understand the online media market in order to create demand and generate revenues.

- Keen business acumen plus the ability to function as a senior strategist with key members of the executive management team at About and The New York Times Company.
