Mobile video aggregator MobiTV, which announced its new version MobiTV2 at the last CTIA, has announced at CES that operators Sprint and Cingular will adopt it. The new service improves MobiTV’s UI, with a programming guide that displays two hours of show information and enhances the older service’s audio and video quality.
MobiTV also announced that it would be making its service available on one of Palm’s PDA devices, the Palm TX. The service will be available through the device’s Wi-Fi wireless connection capability. MobiTV is already available for the Palm Treo 650 smartphone. MobiTV will deliver broadcast quality television at 24 frames per second and offer more than a dozen channels including ABC News Now, Bloomberg, C-SPAN, Comedy Time, ESPN 3GTV, Fashion TV, Fox News, Fox Sports, MAXX Sports, NanoTV, The Weather Channel and ToonWorld TV, with more channels to be added over time.
