The Times Of India: MMS, it seems, is trying to catch up with SMS.
Content service providers for cellphone companies said after the popularity of SMS greetings last new year’s day, the big gainers this year were MMS-es and video messages.
Arun Gupta of the content service provider firm, Mauj, said: “There has been a rise in the number of MMS cards. MMS messages are becoming much more mainstream.” Gupta added that the latest trend was video cards, which worked like e-cards and involved not just animation, but a short video film.
