With A Cherry On Top: Namco Networks On Mobile Strategies

Namco is doing pretty well in the mobile game space (second in the US behind Jamdat according to Telephia) and this interview with Namco Networks Vice President of Sales and Marketing Scott Rubin covers a lot of ground about how the company did that and plans to keep doing it… the company plans to enhance its current swath of mobile versions of classic games (how many versions of Pac Man can there be? How many angels can fit on the head of a pin?), convert more of its brands into mobile versions and license other brands, utilize the network capability of mobile phones and develop games for the higher end phones…3D and the like.
There is also an initiative to “make buying ringtones fun”…
