Ninemsn To Acquire Mobile Developer

NineMSN — a joint venture between Australian broadcaster Channel 9 and Microsofts MSN portal — has bought mobile content developer HWW. The sale price: a minimum of 31.27 cents per HWW share. The minimum offer price will be increased by the net proceeds from disposal of some non-core assets of HWW.
HWW creates and syndicates mobile content for sites such as yourTV.com.au and yourmovies.com.au, which are used by all the major carriers in Australia. Nevertheless, it was going under. The business is highly regarded as an award-winning mobile and digital content publisher, yet the current returns don’t reflect its market position,” said HWW chairman and co-founder Stephen Wall.
Courier Mail: Earlier this year Ninemsn acquired mobile marketing solutions business 5th Finger and has released a range of sites and MSN services for mobile phones such as National Nine News, Cleo, Getaway and Hotmail.
