A big discussion point this year has been the rise of “citizen journalism” with the advent of technologies such as wikis and high-end cameraphones. In the latest validation of the idea one of Time Magazines photos of the year (number 20) is the series of photos taken by Adam Stacey in the London Underground after the terrorist attacks there. While Stacey did take a couple of impressive photos, the main impact of his actions was the effect it had on the media, and the perception of cameraphones as legitimate sources of images.
