Verizon has signed a deal with Warner Bros to put some video content on its Vcast service. Scenes and trailers from the shows “Everwood”, “Gilmore Girls”, “Smallville” and “Supernatural” will appear on Vcast the day before the show airs on TV. So this content plays the role of advertising, with the intent that more people will watch the TV show the following day…
Something I find more exciting is the launch of “classic and original Looney Tunes and Hanna Barbera shorts” on the Vcast service, including “Bugs Bunny”, “Tweety”, “The Flintstones”, “The Jetsons” and “Scooby-Doo”. That should see some good stuff available… there’s also more ads with video trailers for new Warner Bros movies.
