Multi-Player Company Funcom Raises 30 Million Euros in IPO

Funcom, the Norwegian developer of MMORPGs such as Anarchy Online and the upcoming Age of Conan, has riased about 30 million Euros in an IPO on Oslo sotck exchange.

The company currently has one million registered users in its community. Funcom gained about $6.1 million of additional venture capital funding in August and was one of the first publishers to attempt free MMO play in the West, with an advertising-led profit model.
