Effective immediately, Alyse Myers moves from VP-marketing services for the New York Times to the new position of SVP-chief marketing officer for the New York Times Regional Media Group. Myers will be responsible for “creating and influencing a consistent brand voice for the four properties of the media group: The Times newspaper, NYTimes.com, the International Herald Tribune and WQXR.” Myers will work with marketing management across the group to set and coordinate the development and management of the Times brand. As part of the changes, Laura Langdon, executive group director-creative services, and Helen Seligman, executive director for advertising/promotion, are being promoted to vice presidents-marketing services and will share responsibility for the day-to-day management of the department.
Separately, the Times announced that Todd Haskell has been promoted from executive director of business development for the paper to the new position of vice president, business development, advertising for the Media Group.
