Napster Launches Service in Germany: Says it is the first subscription music service in Germany, at Napster.de. It is charging 9.95 euros per month for a regular subscription, and 14.95 euros per month for a “Napster to Go” portable subscription service. German music fans can also purchase songs and albums a la carte for 99 cents and euro 9.95, respectively, from the Napster Light download store.

Yahoo Music Lets Users Make Music Videos: The new Yahoo Artist Mods promotion will allow users to download and use a rendering engine from Nvidia to interact with and create animated music videos.

P&G Tunes Up Housework Soundtrack: Procter & Gamble is putting its online marketing muscle behind digital music, offering downloads to its 7 million strong Home Made Simple community. The technology behind the new initiative, called Julie’s Jukebox, is provided by PassAlong Networks.
