New York Times Co. has released some figures on 2005 and its November advertising revenues: while the print side remains challenging, on the online side, revenues from NYTimes.com and other Internet businesses is expected to range from $194 million to $198 million this year, accounting for about 6 percent of total revenue, it said.
Growth in ads revenues last month was led by About.com, where ad sales climbed roughly 48 percent in November, and 46 percent so far this year. Online ad sales across the company’s three media groups surged 30.5 percent, driven by growth in display advertising and classified advertising categories.
TimesSelect: The company said that by end of November, it had 330,000 subscribers. That’s up from 277,000 a month ago.
