Cambridge, MA-based mobile search company JumpTap, has landed a whopping $21 million second round funding. New investor Redpoint Ventures joins existing investors General Catalyst Partners (which founded JumpTap and provided the company with $4 million in early funding) and BCE Capital.
JumpTap announced its first carrier deployment — with an undisclosed North American carrier supporting more than five million subscribers — last month.
JumpTap will use the funding to support its global rollout and product development, increase staff, and expand sales and marketing efforts, according to company officials.
