Mobile Media “Attractive” But Not a Threat to Traditional TV

Dave Poltrack, CBS executive vp of research and planning has defended the broadcast networks to a UBS Conference audience. Obviously he’s got a vested interest in talking up traditional TV and talking down mobile TV, but the things he said have merit. “So as you read in the next month about how these are hot items this Christmas, remember that, with new technologies, the first 5 million sales are always the easiest,” he said. “It is the next 95 million sales that are a real challenge.”
