Liberty Media: The media holding company has bought out Provide Commerce, an online retailer of gourmet specilities through its network of sites like ProFlowers, Cherry Moon Farms, Uptown Prime, and Secret Spoon. The price: $477 million in cash. More in the release. Last month, Liberty bought a majority stake in online game developer FUN Technologies Plc for $144 million.

Gemstar-TV Guide: The publisher of TV Guide magazine has sold its SkyMall in-flight and online retail business for $52 million to a private equity group led by Spire Capital Partners. The company received sales proceeds of $52 million, less an adjustment of about $9 million for working capital. Some more details in the release
