
If memory serves, the first time I interviewed Ken Lowe was an assignment from Multichannel News to write about the cable nets with the largest rating gains one year; all were starting from such a small rating that a .2 uptick could be worth 200 percent. His presentation at USB reminded me of that story; just replace internet for nascent cable nets. We spoke about the role online is playing in the bottom line of companies like Scripps — not a heck of a lot yet but moving up — and several other topics in a brief interview.
