ReelTime, an Australian content aggregator for the IPTV and online video market, has been bought out by Flowcom.
Flowcom, a communications company that previously went into bankruptcy, is to re-list on the Australian Stock Exchange, having recently raised AU$3 million. The company will pay AU$250,000 to secure RealTime from parent Movies Online, with a further AU$350,000 payable on completion. Following the acquisition Flowcom will change its name to ReelTime Media.
C21: Reeltime will launch its VoD service in the first quarter of next year, with a variety of partnering internet service providers. The company already has IPTV distribution agreements for Australian rights to first-run features from the likes of Columbia, TriStar, Screen Gems, Sony Classics, MGM, UA, Palace, Playboy TV, IFM and Granada.
