Openwave, the mobile software and services company, has filed a shelf registration to sell 15.6 million shares. The offering, which is expected to bring in $246 million in proceeds, also includes an option to purchase up to an additional 2.3 million shares to cover overallotments, the company said.
It expects to use roughly $111.2 million of the proceeds to fund its acquisition of Musiwave, and for general corporate purposes, including working capital and capital expenditures.
