A great foreword for a productivity book!

I just received a copy of Michael Linenberger’s new productivity book, Total Workday Control Using Microsoft Outlook. Michael is the author of my all time favorite Tablet PC book, Seize the Workday, and this new book adapts his proven productivity system to non-Tablet PCs. I can’t wait to read this book and when done I will post a review here on jkOnTheRun. What I like about Michael’s book is how he shows you the best way to configure Outlook to provide the best control over your email, tasks and schedule.

The other reason I was so excited to get a copy of this book was to read the foreword, written by none other than my good friend Marc Orchant. Marc’s foreword is the best I’ve read in any book on productivity, and I’m not just saying that because he’s my friend. Take a look at this quote from the foreword for Total Workday Control:

You’re about to venture into new territory. It’s a journey I’ve enjoyed taking with Michael as my knowledgeable, patient, and understanding guide. To be sure, there are a few twists and turns along the way and I found myself having to let go of some habits I’d developed over many years. But every time I rounded one of these curves and saw a new perspective, I got more excited about what lay ahead.

Isn’t that just great? I know it makes me want to dive into Michael’s book, which is it’s intended purpose. Marc writes so well someone should co-author a book with him. Hmm…
