The Economic Times: This will be a big blow to the growth of broadband in India. The government has vetoed a proposal to unbundle the last mile connectivity.
Union communications minister Dayanidhi Maran has rejected recommendations of a DoT committee on unbundling of last-mile access of BSNL and MTNL for private operators for providing broadband services.
On unbundling of last mile access of BSNL and MTNL Mr Maran said the government wants private operators to build their own networks.
