Manorama Online: Cambridge University Press is planning to introduce its dictionary on mobile phones in India and are on the lookout for a service provider, according to Stephen R.R. Bourne Chief Executive, Cambridge University Press of the UK.
Bourne said the Press had tied-up with a Chinese Telecom company last year, to provide the Cambridge learners dictionary in China. He said, ”Many software and cellular service providers were on the lookout for a quality content dictionary.” The Chief Executive said they would also like to have a tie-up with an Indian cellular service provider to provide dictionary on mobile phones and were likely to go for joint ventures with a few Indian companies shortly in this connection.
Hey, what about the Oxford University Press? I think OUP has a tremendous brand equity in India, and some mobile content players should approach them for a deal. What say?
