P2P Pioneers: Ones Steps Back, One Steps Up

Strange days…As one P2P founder steps back from day to day management of his new company, another pioneer geek steps out as CEO of his new commercial company.

The first one, Shawn Fanning, and his new P2P/song registry company Snocap, gets a good profile in NYT. Some troubles in trying to get the concept off the ground, some management troubles, and of course, trying to get labels (the majors are rounded up now) and services to use the service.

— And then, Bram Cohen, founded of BitTorrent, is now the CEO of the commercial company out of the effort. This short interview in Newsweek
