Based in Miami, Florida, this position is responsible for executing on the company’s business development strategy and meeting revenue and member acquisition objectives for a new line of business (Liveitup.com) within InterActive Corp., www.iac.com.
Duties and Responsibilities
– Assists in development of and execution on the company’s business development strategy
– Identifies and negotiates distribution partnerships with online and offline businesses.
– Develops market approach to effectively and efficiently meet goals set forth in strategy.
– Conducts competitive analyses.
– Works closely with legal department to negotiate contracts.
– Maintains and builds relationships with partners. Communicates effectively the findings of partner performance and develops proposed courses of action to optimize partnership.
– Helps to obtain buy-in and to integrate new partnerships throughout the organization by communicating, managing, and coordinating with other departments within the company including the company’s IT, Finance, and Marketing departments.
– Performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
– Graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in business administration or other related field.
– Must possess at least 3 years experience in negotiating and closing strategic partnerships.
– Must have ability to make internal and external presentations to executive management.
– Must possess experience in negotiating complex contracts in tandem with in-house legal team
– Must be able to effectively take a strategy and create actionable plans.
– Must be able to create basic financial models.
– Must have a basic knowledge of online marketing strategies and tools.
– Must be an ambitious self-starter who is organized and can meet tight deadlines.
– Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
– Must possess strong problem solving skills.
