Not much in Audible‘s Q3 10-Q (filed last week) besides the numbers, but some points about the relationship with Apple iTunes and revenues from it:
– For the three month periods ended September 30, 2005 and 2004, Apple Computer accounted for 14.3% and 11.1% of total revenue, respectively, and for the nine month periods ended September 30, 2005 and 2004, Apple Computer accounted for 13.6% and 10.0% of total revenue, respectively.
– The iTunes Music Store is the only digital download music service through which we are permitted to distribute our content. We began selling content at the Apple iTunes Music Store in October 2003. Apple may convert the agreement to a non-exclusive arrangement for both us and Apple upon 120 days prior written notice, although Apple will have a continuing obligation to incorporate AudibleReady features into the Apple iPod and Apple iTunes jukebox software.
– We recognized approximately $2,405,000 in revenue during the three months ended September 30, 2005 from sales of Audible content at the Apple iTunes Music Store, compared to approximately $1,026,000 in the same period in 2004.
