The Knot, the online wedding and after resource and information company, has reported hirger revenues but profits shrank for Q3. It reported Q3 net revenues of $13.1 million, up 23% from net revenues of $10.7 million for Q3 2004.
The major contributor to the higher revenues was an increase in local and national online advertising, which rose 49% over the prior year, said the company.
On net income, that went down to $0.7 million, down from $1 million in Q3 2004.
Total operating expenses in the third quarter included approximately $1.5 million in professional fees related to the company’s ongoing litigation with WeddingChannel.com.
