In-game advertising company Double Fusion has received $10 million in funding, led by Accel Partners and Jerusalem Venture Partners. The Jerusalem-based company is moving its headquarters to San Francisco with this funding.
Also, it has hired a new CEO: Geoff Graber, the former general manager of Yahoo Games, will be the new CEO. In addition to leading Yahoo’s video game division, Graber also previously headed up Electronic Arts’ operations in China.
Unlike rival Massive Incorporated–which focuses on inserting ads into games by major publishers–Double Fusion intends to work with major publishers as well as makers of short-form casual games.
More details on the funding here…
Interestingly, Shockwave.com also announced an in-game advertising service yesterday, focusing on casual games as well…more details on that here.
