This candidate will be the “face of technology” in client meetings. The chosen candidate will act as primary technical resource for assigned accounts, responding to RFI’s, RFP’s, performing network demonstrations, developing equipment configurations, assisting with Project Mgmt. of customer trials, testing and providing the necessary sales support, etc. Responsibilities will be approximately 75% technical, 25% business related.

This role will be responsible for providing technical support to new and prospective customers through the sales, integration, and pilot cycle. In addition will provide on-going assistance to the sales team, integration team and account management during the roll out of new add-on services.

Primary responsibilities of the role include the following:

– Provide product expertise and offer solutions and answers in order to overcome technical roadblocks during sales calls.

– Become the subject matter expert on internal tools and resources to resolve technical questions and issues during the sales, integration and pilot processes.

– Collaborate with sales team on the development of demonstrations, diagrams, presentations and charts to assist sales calls.

– Educate members of the sales team and external clients by leveraging existing customer lessons and practices to aid during the sales process to motivate and address concerns with prospective customers.

– Oversee the scheduling and following up of Conference Calls between customers and internal groups.

– Assist Product Development and Professional Skills groups with setting up connectivity, contact information, APIs and submitting required forms for Proof of Concepts, Scope of Works, Developer Agreements, and Pilot customers.

– Partner with Sales, Integration and Operations to provide Project Plans for Proof of Concepts, Pilots and Roll Outs of new Products and Services.

– Track existing integration efforts, use internal and external resources to ensure all milestones and project plan dates are met.

– Schedule and conduct training on Product UI, purchase and admin tool SDKs.

QUALIFICATIONS / Requirements:

– 5 years Sales Eng. / Network Consultant experience in the Wireless sector (GPRS/UMTS, CDMA accounts)

– Excellent track record for closing technical sales

– Extensive knowledge of / experience with: WCDMA, GPRS/UMTS, GGSN, PPP, SMSCs,

– Understanding of existing and future mobile technologies 3G, 1X EV-DO, EV-DV, CDMA2000, and 3GPP2 network architectures.

– Understanding of mobile content formats and standards including C++, BREW, J2ME, .QCP, AAC+, etc.

– Minimum 4 – 6 years experience in telecommunications, wireless, satellite and networking hardware/software.

– Posses a firm understating of the OSI and TCP networking models for communications.
