TNT, ESPN Emphasize Broadband, Multimedia For 2005-06 NBA Season (sub. req.)

TNT is launching a new broadband service Nov. 17 with daily input from its NBA coverage team. TNT Broadband will hang off NBA.com; Turner wants a constant presence between Thursday night games and hopes Charles Barkley and company will bring their power game to the PC. Turner Sports president David Levy told Multuichannel News the concept could be extended to other Turner Broadcasting sports events.

ESPN’s toolbox includes nightly game highlights, customized analysis and exclusive weekly studio segments for broadband service ESPN360; mobile content licensing of rea-time scores, news and info; phones on upcoming MVNO Mobile ESPN can be personalized for instant access to news and info about favorite teams.
