“Nearly 10 percent of U.S. wireless users said they likely would watch mobile TV in the next year, according to the most recent study from M:Metrics…The mobile usage measurement firm said that while only 1 percent of users watch TV on their handsets today, 6.1 million said they probably would use the application in the next 12 months.”
I don’t quite follow the numbers, (1% at 2.14 million and 10% at 6.1 million — from the release) but it seems more people are keen to watch mobile video that already do…
“And those who already subscribe to mobile TV use their service frequently, according to the study. More than half of the 1.4 million users who viewed streaming video accessed it multiple times throughout the month, and 27 percent of the 1.6 million subscribers who accessed short video clips did so at least once a week.”
