Sirius Satellite Radio expects a “blowout” Q4, with both Howard Stern and the holiday shopping season creating unprecedented demand, CEO Mel Karmazin said in its earnings call.
In Q3, it reported a net loss of $180.4 million on revenue of $66.8 million. In the year ago period, Sirius had posted a net loss of $169.4 million on revenue of $19.1 million.
The company added 359,294 net new subscribers in Q3, compared with 181,948 additions in the year-ago quarter.
