CyberMedia’s Online Business Grew By 72 Per Cent To 16.28 Million In Q2

News release: CyberMedia, India’s leading speciality publishing group, has seen total income going up by 26 per cent year on year to Rs 212.75 million from Rs 168.67 million last year in its latest Q2 results. Its net profit has gone up 51 per cent in the second quarter to Rs 19.94 million as compared to the corresponding quarter in 2004-05 due to higher sales and improved operating profit margins and lower interest cost. Its operating margins has increased to 17.4 per cent.

Revenue from the online business has gone up by 72 per cent to 16.28 million compared to 40 per cent in case of the publishing business and 56 per cent for the research business. Operating profit (EBITDA) of the company also increased by 36 per cent y-o-y to Rs 36.39 million from Rs 26.74 million in Q2 last year due to steady increase in advertisement rates.

The company owns portals like CIOL, CyberMedia Dice and so on.
