T-Mobile: Senior Product Manager- Music Services

As Sr. Product Manager, Music Services you will be responsible for driving the Music Services businesses for T-Mobile. This will involve responsibility for ringtone and wallpaper products, ringbacktone products and other music-based services that may be developed. This role is responsible for evaluating customer needs and trends, driving the features and functions of the underlying platform which supports those businesses, developing competitive and business case analysis and identifying and prioritizing cross-functional priorities. This position is responsible for the P&L for this business and requires strong general business management skills as well as the ability to track and present business results to T-Mobile executives. You must have the ability to think strategically and creatively about customer, market and business issues, translate analyses and insights into well documented and communicated product and service plans and be capable of collaborating with cross-functional partners to achieve goals and deliverables.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

– Identify and document customer and business requirements to guide product and feature development

– Manage and enhance services across all customer segments, providing segment-specific customization where need is demonstrated

– Manage life cycle improvements that improve customer satisfaction, market competitiveness and contribution margin

– Collaborate with the marketing, go to market, customer care and product development teams to execute successful launch and marketing programs

– Measure and report product performance metrics, and create actionable plans to reduce costs, improve customer satisfaction, and improve T-Mobile’s strategic position

– Partner management with key providers to the music services businesses

Skills and Experience:

– 5 – 7 years of experience in new product marketing, wireless and internet

– Strong analytical skills to drive business case modeling and decision making

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated public speaking and presentation comfort/skill and experience

– Strong understanding of and experience with digital music-based businesses

– Must be a thought leader with a strong personal work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit

– Ability to understand market research and apply results to drive decision-making

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance or related field, Master of Business Administration (MBA) desired
