Time Warner has quietly extended America Online boss Jonathan Miller’s contract amidst ongoing discussions about selling a stake in AOL, writes NYP. This comes amidst some uncertainty (as reported yesterday by NYP) about Miller’s fate if MSFT or any of the other suitors end up taking a stake in AOL.
He has signed a new three-year deal to remain chief of AOL, a post he has held since August of 2002…His current deal was set to expire this year. But that still doesn’t clear up everything: if a new company comes in and tried to bring in its own management, nothing’s really stopping them, except some chunk of money commitments..
