Discovery Forms Global New Media Unit

Discovery Communications is forming a new a global new-media unit aimed at centralizing efforts to put content on new platforms worldwide.

– Donald Baer, senior executive vp strategy and development, will lead the group and report to Judith McHale, president and CEO of Discovery.

–Neville Meijers will move from managing director of Discovery Asia to executive VP business strategy and new media, reporting to Baer.

–Also joining the new unit is Tanya Field, senior VP new media strategy and development, and Clint Stinchcomb, senior VP new media operations.
